Forwarding Support Emails to Smooth

Smooth allows you to receive support emails directly in your Smooth inbox by forwarding them from your existing email accounts. Your Smooth email address typically follows the format yourbusiness@chat.smooth.biz.

Find your Smooth email address in your account settings. You can forward all messages or use specific filters (sender, subject keywords, etc.).

Gmail (Web)

Forward All Emails

  1. Access Settings > “See all settings”
  2. Navigate to the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab
  3. Select “Add a forwarding address”
  4. Enter your Smooth email address and confirm
  5. Verify the confirmation email from Smooth
  6. Return to Settings and select “Forward a copy of incoming mail”
  7. Choose what Gmail does with originals
  8. Save changes

Forward Filtered Emails

  1. Use the search options icon
  2. Fill in filter criteria (sender, subject)
  3. Create filter with forwarding to your Smooth email address

Outlook.com (Web/Personal)

Forward All Emails

  1. Go to Settings > “View all Outlook settings”
  2. Select Mail > Forwarding
  3. Enable “Forward your mail to another email account”
  4. Enter your Smooth email address
  5. Optionally keep copies of forwarded messages
  6. Save

Forward Filtered Emails

  1. Go to Mail > Rules
  2. Create new rule with conditions
  3. Set action to forward to your Smooth email address

Microsoft Outlook (Desktop/365)

  1. Open the Outlook Desktop App
  2. Access File > “Manage Rules & Alerts”
  3. Create new rule for received messages
  4. Set conditions and forward action to your Smooth email address
  5. Name and complete the rule

Apple Mail (iCloud)

  1. Open iCloud Mail preferences
  2. Access Preferences > Rules
  3. Add new rule with forwarding conditions to your Smooth email address
  4. Complete setup

Yahoo Mail

  1. Go to Settings > “More settings” > Mailboxes
  2. Select your address and locate Forwarding
  3. Add your Smooth email address
  4. Confirm via verification email

Note: Free accounts may have limitations.

Zoho Mail

  1. Log into Zoho Mail
  2. Access Settings > “Mail Accounts” > “Email Forwarding and POP/IMAP”
  3. Add your Smooth email address
  4. Verify via email
  5. Enable forwarding

Proton Mail

Requires a paid plan:

  1. Go to Settings > Filters
  2. Create a filter rule with conditions
  3. Set action to forward to your Smooth email address
  4. Confirm forwarding

FastMail

  1. Access Settings > Rules
  2. Create new rule with conditions
  3. Set action to “Redirect to” your Smooth email address
  4. Save
